At the luncheon
  Women's Auxiliary Luncheon    
  -      On May 23 the Women's Auxiliary held a fundraising luncheon at the Bristol Hotel. Some 235 people attended the elegant affair including Vice President and Mrs. Nadim Cortas, Director of AUBMC Mr. and Mrs. John Rhoder, and Assistant Director Dr. Marina Hajj.
      Among the distinguished guests were Dr. Ann Marie Karam, wife of HE Dr. Karam Karam Minister of Tourism, and Mrs. Hoda Siniora wife of HE Minister of Finance Dr. Fuad Siniora.
      Mrs. Nabila Firzli, President of the Women's Auxiliary, briefed the audience on the purpose of the 		luncheon--to raise money for the "Emergency Fund" to help needy patients at AUBMC. She thanked the contributors, participants and organizers for their generous support.
      VPNadim Cortas praised the work and dedication of the volunteers or the "Ladies in Pink," noting that their help to the hospital was invaluable and greatly appreciated.
      Everyone then enjoyed a sumptuous buffet luncheon followed by the distribution of attractive lottery prizes. With the good food, friendly company and a pleasant ambiance, the event was pronounced a success. Amal NajjarPublicity Chairperson
