The Graduation Party Committee presents a check for the party's profits to President John Waterbury as a donation to the Hardship Cases Account
  Graduation Party 2002    
  -     Hundreds of overjoyed students from all AUB faculties celebrated their newly acquired diplomas at the traditional graduation party 2002. Held at La Voile Bleue, Rmaileh, on July 5, the event attracted 3,100 AUBites and their friends. Profits from the occasion added up to a record $28,000 which was presented to Dr. Waterbury as a donation to the Hardship Cases Account. This handsome sum was a largest of its kind, topping last year's $24,000 donation which was a big jump in itself from graduation party revenues in previous years.
     Presenting the check to the president were Dean		 Maroun Kisirwani, Dr. Salah Sadek, and Mrs. Wadad El-Husseiny, in addition to the USFC graduation party committee. This included Joe Manok, Talal Salman, Fawzi Melhem, Loay Sayyah, Haifa Yordi, Hadi Abu Khuzam, Ayman Kishli, Rawan Saab, Karma Ekmekji, Issam Nasr, Areej Mahmoud, Caline Rabbath, Rania Al-Yussef, Ruba Murad, and Ramzi Sawma.
      The Hardship Cases Account, which is funded yearly by graduation party profits, is kept for special cases where a student might fall upon an unexpected and sudden financial problem in the family.
