The
BA
program in Political Studies at AUB seeks to develop the
knowledge and competence of students in politics and
governance, with concentration on political theory,
comparative politics and international relations, and on
issues relevant to the Middle East in a changing global
environment. The program, which strives at building
effective and responsible citizens and the promotion of
independent and analytical thinking, offers majors and
minors in political studies and contributes to the general
educational needs of AUB students.
The
MA program in Political Studies serves the academic
needs of a select group of students with intellectual
purpose and an interest in advanced study. The program aims
at enhancing students' analytical skills, research and
writing talent, and capacity for utilizing theoretical
approaches. The program also equips students with skills to
pursue careers in diplomacy, media, local and national
government, and international and non-governmental
organizations.
