How do I obtain assistance for work requirements?
All of our customers are best serviced by contacting the Physical Plant
Help Desk at Extension 2015.
Why shouldn't I contact a PPD staff directly?
We discourage our customers from contacting a PPD staff directly as there
may be many circumstances (ie: vacation, sick, moved to a different shift,
etc.) that may prevent them from quickly responding to you. Contacting
the Help Desk at Extension 2015 will allow us to quickly dispatch your
requirements. This will also enable us to electronically track your request.
What are the scheduled hours for Building Service (Campus)
workers and mechanics?
The majority of mechanics/workers are on site between 7:30 am and 4:00
am, Monday to Friday.
What do I do if I am locked out of my office?
During Working Hours, you can contact the Help Desk at Extension 2015
and Off Working Hours you should call the Protection Office at Extension
2400.
Who do I call if I have pests (mice, ants, etc.) in my building?
Call the Physical Plant Help Desk at Extension 2015.
Who empties my trash and where does it go?
Trash and recycling inside offices and buildings is collected by Physical
Plant Custodial staff, and brought outside to pre-determined bins. From
there it gets collected by the Refuse Disposal crew and gets transferred
to bins off Campus.
Where do I look if I have lost or found an item?
Call the Protection Office at Extension 2400.
How do I report needed repairs / improvements in my
apartment (Faculty Buildings)?
Contact the Housing Department at Extension 2120 and they will submit
a Service Request to Physical Plant Department on your behalf.
Who do I call if I need to transfer office furniture / equipment or office
files?
Contact the Help Desk at Extension 2015.
