Children's Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) Affiliated With St Jude Children's Research Hospital
The CCCL provides outpatient and inpatient services to children
and adolescents with canncer or blood disorders. It is
affiliated with St Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis
and is directed by Dr Miguel Abboud. The outpatient service is
located in the first floor of building 56 and the inpatient
service which consists of 20 beds on the 4th floor of building
56.
The medical team consists of three full-time doctors: Dr Miguel Abboud, Dr Samar Muwakkit,
and Dr Raya Saab. The unit is also staffed by three fellows at
different levels, along with psychologists and social workers. The team
covering CCCL inpatient unit consists of a fellow and two
interns. The two other fellows take care of patients in the
outpatient section of St Jude. The outpatient service is
provided five days a week from 8:00 am till 5:00 pm daily.

Children Heart Center (CHC)
The CHC is located on the sixth floor next to the Private Clinics. It is directed by Dr Fadi Bitar
who is the only pediatric cardiology specialist.

The Brave Heart Fund (BHF) (http://www.braveheartfund.org) is a financial fund that helps needy children with heart diseases perform their surgeries and get the best treatment available.
Emergency Department (ED)
The ED is located on the first floor of Phase I. Its entrance is opposite to the main lobby. A pediatric team manages a variety of pediatric and adolescent patients. This team consists of a senior and junior resident covering the ED in two 12-hour shifts. They are supervised by ED faculty and directly supported by Dr Marianne Majdalani, who is a board-certified, pediatric, critical care specialist, and Dr Amin Kazzi, who is board-certified in emergency medicine.
Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
The unit is located on the south section of the sixth floor. The EMU is a computer and electronically-assisted and based unit where long-term, extensive, video EEG recording and other testing can be performed to allow for the proper diagnosis of difficult and selected cases of epilepsy. The unit,
established by the pediatric neurologist and epileptologist Dr Mohamad Mikati,
is now directed by Dr Rose-Mary Boustany (pediatric neurologist)
and Dr Omar Dabbagh, a pediatric neurologist and Dr Ahmad Beydoun, adult neurologist and epileptologist admit
patients to this unit.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
The NICU is on the seventh floor of the Medical Center building, right next to the Delivery Suite.
The unit consists of 13 beds, fully equipped to take care of
premature babies and sick neonates. The unit is directed by Dr Khalid Yunis, and the physicians who have admitting privileges to this unit are Dr Khalid Yunis, Dr Nabil Mounla,
and Dr Lama Charafeddine. The resident team rotating in the unit
consists of a PGY3, a PGY2, three or four PGY1s, and a fellow in neonatology.
Outpatient Department (OPD)
These clinics are located on the sixth floor of the AUBMC building. The clinic teams work from 7:30 am till 5:00 pm daily. The unit is directed by Dr Mona Nabulsi, a general pediatrician and evidence-based medicine specialist,
and coordinated by Dr Pascale Karam. It includes general pediatrics as
well as subspecialty clinics, including but not limited to: pediatric endocrinology, neonatology, psychology, developmental behavioral pediatrics, infectious diseases, gastroenterology, nutrition, inborn errors of metabolism, neurology, hematology/oncology, nephrology, pediatric cardiology, psychiatry, pediatric pulmonology, genetics, pediatric allergy immunology and well-baby clinic. These specialties are distributed over the week according to a monthly schedule.

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Step Down Unit (PICU/SDU)
The PICU/SDU is on the sixth floor of the AUBMC building in the
north section.
The PICU is the place where the most acutely sick children are
admitted until stabilization. The SDU is the area where
less sick, but requiring continuous care and close follow-up, are admitted.
The unit is directed by an American Board certified, pediatric critical care specialist, Dr
Marianne Majdalani.
The team in the intensive care area consists of a resident, either a
second year resident (PGY2) or a fifth year resident (PGY5) and two
or three first year residents (PGY1).
General Pediatrics Ward
The general pediatrics Ward is located on the sixth floor of the Medical Center building
and contains 21 inpatient beds. The north section is the Private Ward where private patients are admitted. The ward is led by a team of one senior resident (PGY3), a junior resident (PGY2) and a
first year resident (PGYI), along with a team of medical students (Med IV).
