Message from the director
Dear viewers,
Welcome to the Office of Strategy Management website in which you will learn about who we are and what we do.
The Office of Strategy Management (OSM) previously named Institutional Planning and Process Improvement (IPPI) is situated on the fifth floor of College Hall.
The new name reflects the focus of the office on the following activities:
- Strategic Planning – Designing, coordinating and publishing university strategic plans developed by faculties and administrative units.
- Corporate Performance Management - Using the balanced scorecard (BSC) methodology to monitor the effective implementation of the strategic plans.
- Change Management and Process Improvement - Participating in improvement projects identified during corporate performance management reviews.
- Initiative Management - Monitoring the progress of implementation of strategic initiatives and reporting on it periodically (every other year).
- Organizational Alignment - Ensuring that financial planning and budgeting as well as human resources incentive programs are aligned with the strategic plans of the University.
Other functions of the Office of Strategy Management include the coordination of legal matters and the management of the process for nominating,
selecting, and recognizing the recipients of the annual President’s Service Excellence Awards.
OSM, which reports directly to the AUB President, consists of three full-time non-academic staff: the director, a strategy implementation manager,
and an executive officer.
