Institutional Review Board

This committee is charged with reviewing all research proposals that employ human subjects  in order to ensure that they conform to international and local standards of ethical conduct and treatment, and to assure the safety and rights of all individuals involved in the proposed research.  Approval by this committee is a precondition for conducting any such study by investigators at the American University of Beirut.
