The University Libraries Expand Orientation Participation
An Information Fair was organized by Student Affairs to accommodate the many divisions and service departments that the new AUB new students will need. The University Libraries sent two staff members to man a stand for two days. Information was provided orally and through a specially-designed brochure.

Walk-in workshops in the services that are relevant for graduate students were offered in the Antoun Ghattas Karam E-Classroom over seven days during specified hours. These proved to be popular and will be repeated on a semester-basis.

About 25 new faculty members met with the Information Services Department in the Antoun Ghattas Karam E-Classroom to get acquainted with the University Libraries, its resources and services. This activity usually opens the door for librarian-faculty collaboration during the academic year.

Exhibit 'The University Libraries... More than Books!
Samples of information sources such as maps, photos, manuscripts, newspapers on microfilm and posters are on display in the Exhibition Gallery in Jafet Library.
The exhibit is open during opening hours and its duration is October 17 - November 24, 2006.

Serials Department is re-structured to allow for more seating for users
Serials Department is re-structured to allow for more seating for users
This summer the Serials Department was overhauled to provide increased seating space (40 seats were added) for all users. The Department is a popular destination for students who desire a quieter place for study and reading.
