Summer Workshop

The University Libraries as members of the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) participated in the 2007 Summer Seminar on Creative Use of the Resources in Course Design. Ten faculty members worked during the week of July 2-6 in the Antoun Ghattas Karam E-Classroom on creating a resource packet within an assignment in their course.

The resources, services and guides of the Libraries were demonstrated to the group. In all cases, they were customized for inclusion in the assignments. Through hands-on work and with the assistance of three staff members from the Information Services Department, every participant created an original research assignment that included usage of relevant resources and services.
