Outline of the Dewey Decimal Classification : The Hundred Divisions
The libraries use Dewey Decimal Classification for cataloging the books collections. This is used to locate the books on the shelves. There are 10 main categories representing the fields of knowledge. Under each category, there are further subdivisions (000,010, 020, 030, 090…):
