The PHYSICAL PLANT DEPARTMENT has an opening for the position of GARDENER, in grade 2 , at a salary of L.L.706,840.- per month. Since this provides an opportunity for promotion from within, please circulate this information and/or post it in your area of jurisdiction so that those interested and having the minimum qualifications may apply in writing to the Human Resources Department (Employment Section) not later than December 13, 2008.

I. Basic Functions:

Performs as directed various gardening tasks such as planting, transplanting, fertilizing, spraying, watering, and pruning related to the cultivation of trees, shrubs, flowers and grass lawns. Includes trimming trees and shrubs, removal of unwanted weeds, raking and collecting leaves and debris for disposal.

II. Minimum Requirements:

a.  No formal education is required.
b.  2 years' experience in gardening.
