The Hostler Center - Student Affairs has an opening for the position of AQUATIC SPECIALIST, in grade 10, at a salary of L.L.1,047,910.- per month. Since this provides an opportunity for promotion from within, please circulate this information and/or post it in your area of jurisdiction so that those interested and having the minimum qualifications may apply in writing to the Human Resources Department (Employment Section) not later than December 5, 2008.
I. Basic Functions: Supervises and maintains the safety of the aquatic area, including the adjacent changing areas during his/ her shift and must be physically present on the deck of the pool when it is in use. Ensures that all functions of the pool are operating in accordance with predetermined policy and reports discrepancies immediately to the Hostler Center Supervisor.
II. Minimum Requirements: a. Bachelor's degree plus two years experience in a similar position OR Completion of secondary (13 years) education plus five years experience in a similar position. b. Certification as a lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor, CPR and First Aid required; AED preferred c. Good English communication skills are preferred. d. Knowledge of instructional techniques and training technology required. e. Excellent public relations skills are required. f. Willingness to work varying hours with some evenings and weekends required.
