3. Questions Related to LNCSR

Q. What should be included in the final report to the Lebanese National Council for Scientific Research (LNCSR)?

A. When preparing a final report to the LNCSR, the investigator should give a detailed account of the research findings and describe the outcome of the project. Such questions as: were there any publications or articles produced? or was any workshop or conference held on the subject matter? should be addressed.
In addition, acknowledgement to LNCSR is a must. Please note that a one-page document is not considered a report. It is also expected from faculty members to publish their work in scientific journals, this is one of LNCSR's requirements if one wants to re-apply for a new grant. For more information on reporting, see the Rules concerning LNCSR Awarded Grants under Section entitled: "LNCSR Conditions, Guidelines and Deadlines."

Q. What is the deadline for applying to LNCSR?

A. The deadline for submitting applications to the LNCSR, is usually announced ahead of time, by the Office of Grants and Contracts. The Council usually has two cycles per year, in May and December.
