a) The Research Committee shall consist of the Dean as Chairman and six members
      elected by the Faculty, two from each of the following groups of disciplines:
      basic and natural sciences; humanities; and social sciences.

  b) The Research Committee shall seek to establish conditions favorable to carrying
      out research by members of the Faculty.

  c) The Research Committee shall coordinate research activities throughout the Faculty
      and shall collaborate with the University Research Committee.

  d) The Research Committee shall allocate research funds made available from the Arts
      and Sciences budget.

  e) The Research Committee shall accumulate and disseminate information on research-    
      supporting agencies and their fields of interest.

  f) All regulations and guidelines evolved by the Committee shall be presented to the
      Faculty annually for its information.
