The Family Medicine Private Clinics  (FMPC)

Introduction
The Family Medicine Practice Center (FMPC) is situated in Dale Home and is part of the American University of Beirut Medical Center. The main function of the center is to provide comprehensive ambulatory primary care to all patients. The center is manned by qualified nurses. It's facilities include clinics, minor surgery room, record room, conference room and the director’s office.

Location
The private clinics are situated in Dale Home adjacent to the visitors' parking lot.

Opening Hours
8 am till 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm till 6 pm
Emergency services are available in the American University of Beirut Medical Center (24hrs).

Services
- General medical exam
- Care of children at all stages of development
- Prenatal, postnatal care, in addition to normal deliveries
- Family planning and advice on different contraceptive methods, including intrauterine device insertion
- Curative health services for all ages and common chronic and infectious diseases
- Preventive services:
  1. Children and adult vaccination
  2. Screening tests and examination as per international and national guidelines for early detection of diabetes, hyperlipidemias, malignancies and others
- School health
- Occupational health
- Minor surgeries:
  1. Circumcision
  2. Sebaceous cysts and lipomas removal
  3. Ingrown toe nail removal
  4. Intra-articular injections
  5. Suturing of wounds
  6. Incision and drainage of abscess
  7. IUD insertion
  8. Others
- Health education on several topics:
  1. Smoking cessation
  2. Hypertension
  3. Exercise
  4. Hyperlipidemias
  5. Obesity
  6. Diabetis mellitus
  7. Asthma
  8. Stress management
  9. Others
