Behavioral Medicine
The Department of Family Medicine has started holding
biweekly Balint seminars for PGY2 – PGY4 residents. The purpose
of Balint seminars is to gain a better understanding of the
doctor/patient relationship. The seminars will help residents
become better communicators and develop more effective
management plans. This new activity is an expansion of the
residency's Behavioral Medicine Program which includes support
group meetings for interns. The Intern Support Group is lead by
a psychologist and a family medicine attending physician and has
been active since 2005.
