SWEET CORN DAY

The FAFS, in cooperation with its chapter of the Alumni Association, is having its annual Sweet Corn Day celebration on Sunday, August 24, 2008, at AREC. The sweet corn day will include:

• 10: 30   a tour of the AREC facilities

• 12:00    FAFS Alumni meeting

• 13:00    Lunch (Barbecued chicken-Courtesy of TANMIA, desert - Courtesy of DIET CENTER, baked potatoes, green salad, fruits, beverages, and sweet corn)

• 14:00    Lebanese folklore performance and horse back riding - Courtesy of TANMIA

• 15:00    Snack of Pops and Tatoes – Courtesy of TANMIA

 Logistics:

• Admission and Transportation (Buses will leave the AUB Sea Gate at 9:00 A.M. and return from AREC around 5:30 P.M.):

  • Children below 4 : free entry, free transportation unless in a seat then 10,000 transportation

  • Children between 4 and 14:  10,000 entry and 10,000 transportation

  • Adults above 14:  15,000 entry and 10,000 transportation

• Lodging is available in the dorms @ 10,000 per adult per night and @5,000 per child per night, children under 4 are free of charge, reserve by email arec@aub.edu.lb by Thursday August 21st, 2008

Available for purchase:

• Breakfast @ 3000 L.L. includes a Saj sandwich and 1 drink.

• Additional drinks @ 1000 L.L. /drink

• Ice Cream @ 2000 L.L.

• AREC poultry and chicken products, sweet corn, honey, jam, vegetables and organic fruits will be available for sale all day long.
