Affiliations at this level include the arrangement of workshops at clinical and basic levels. Affiliations with Regional institutions allow the exchange of expertise. The two institutions will create clinical guidelines and interactive programs in a number of medical areas of mutual interest. AUBMC physicians can visit to lecture or see patients and look for referral of patients and studies from the various allocated institutions. Goals at this level include:

• Offering educational medical facilities by training nurses/physicians and other paramedical personnel
• Promoting the referral of patients and studies to AUBMC
• Arranging for regional medical courses (in collaboration with REP)
• Attracting students at the Master and PhD. levels in the basic science area
• Providing consultation facilities (in collaboration with REP)
• Marketing for programs of excellence and collaborate with other parties to raise funds for certain programs (in collaboration with REP)
• Cooperate with external bodies to promote research activities
