A new strategy to support Lebanese organic farmers and market organic products was launched by the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences (FAFS) at the American University of Beirut (AUB) through the implementation of a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) project: the "Healthy Basket".

The direct objective of this project is to help the local farmers develop a sustainable income while protecting the environment, securing the marketing of their produce, and providing healthy produce to the consumers.
