ESDU Goals
To act as a strong regional research focus and to contribute significantly to making AUB a regional leader in sustainable development initiatives;
To have a strong core of faculty and student researchers from many different departments on campus connected directly to ESDU through specific projects;
To establish linkages and strategic partnerships with public and private sectors, international organizations and stakeholders in the community resulting in joint research activities;
To seek networking with national, regional and international research centers and institutes in the areas of integrated natural resource management and sustainable development.
To foster multi-stakeholder and collaborative research processes and workshops to put current understanding from the research community in the hands of the user and policy-making communities.
