Explanation
To fulfill the minimum six credit CVSP requirement:

• Students start by choosing any one course from Sequence I (201, 202, 205, 207). This now allows students to take any other CVSP Sequence I and II course.
• Students still need any one course from Sequence II (203, 204, 206, 208) to complete the CVSP requirement.

To fulfill the twelve credit humanities requirement:
• Students may take one or two more courses from the two sequences. For example, CVSP 201, 202, 203, and 204 may be selected for all twelve credits.
• Or, any one additional course from the two sequences may be selected, along with a selection of any one course from the list above.
• Or, if the student decides not to take any more CVSP 201-208 courses to meet humanities requirements, then any one or two courses may be chosen from the list above (which includes CVSP courses other than 201-208).

Restrictions
• CVSP 205 overlaps with 201 and 202. Thus, CVSP 205 cannot be taken if the student has taken either 201 or 202, and vice versa.
• CVSP 206 overlaps with 203 and 204. Thus, CVSP 206 cannot be taken if the student has taken either 203 or 204, and vice versa.
The above restrictions do not apply to CVSP 207 and 208, as they do not overlap with any other core courses (201-206).

Prerequisites
• ENGL 102 or its equivalent is prerequisite to all CVSP 201-208 courses.
Freshman students who have not yet completed two semesters may not enroll in CVSP courses numbered 201-208, and only with the consent of the instructor for all other CVSP courses numbered 200 and above.
• Prerequisite for Sequence I courses: sophomore status or above.
• Prerequisite for Sequence II courses: junior status or above (sophomore students who are on good academic standing and who have completed 24 credits may request permission from the Director to enroll in Sequence II courses "CVSP requirements").
