Reducing Poverty in Russia through Growth and Improved Social Policy

    The conclusions of a major study on the links between poverty, economic growth, and social programs in the Russian Federation between 1997-2002 were presented. The study was conducted by a World Bank team, in collaboration with the Russian Government, and the U.K. Department for International Department. It draws on nationally representative and large household data sets covering the study period, to draw policy conclusions for the way forward
