Dr. Yount presented the findings of a study that used secondary data to explore gender differences among older women and men in Egypt and Tunisia. Dr. Yount's research focused on the self-reporting of health status, the self-reporting of functional limitation (ability of an individual to perform a task), the use of health care services, the socio-economic status and social support.
