The components of a joint project between the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Lebanese Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA), “ Capacity Building for Poverty Reduction,” were described.
Capacity building of MoSA: Focus on social development centers and various organizations of the civil society.
Multipurpose survey: Begun in February 2004, and implemented in collaboration with the Central Administration of Statistics, the survey aims at defining poverty and describing the characteristics of the poor in Lebanon.
The NGO Resource and Support Unit : Build capacities of NGOs i n an attempt to form lobby groups advocating development at the national level.
