Densitometry Unit
State of the art quality assurance is applied as recommended by the International Society of Clinical Densitometry (ISCD). In addition to running the phantom daily, the standard operating procedures include the evaluation of in-vivo precision assessed on duplicate measurements performed daily, usually on the first patient coming through the unit, after requesting permission to do so. The precision estimates in the unit, expressed as CV%, derived from 417 duplicate measurements performed on a daily basis over the last three years are as follows:

| Total hip: | CV% | = | 0.80 | ± | 0.75% |
| Femoral neck: | CV% | = | 1.5 | ± | 1.4% |
| 1.3 Radius: | CV% | = | 0.88 | ± | 0.7% |
These are well within precision estimates we, as well as others, have
