CME like events are organized by the program faculty to physicians in Lebanon and the region:
- “The Bone Program” at the MEMA 1998, a two-day event as part of the main program “Osteoporosis: Gearing up for the Third Millenium”. The program also included two satellite symposia, and the first densitometry workshop in the Middle East run in collaboration with the International Society of Clinical Densitometry. ISCD certificates were provided to registrants upon passing the ISCD exam.
- University-based symposium entitled "Densitometry Applications: Regional Relevance" April 20, 2001 in Beirut, Lebanon. The
symposium was the nucleus for a national effort that resulted in the development and ultimate endorsement of the Lebanese Guidelines for Osteoporosis Assessment by five Lebanese Scientific Societies: Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, and Radiology, as well as the Regional Mediterranean Branch of the WHO.
- Faculty from the Program has chaired the WHO EMRO regional meeting to derive regional guidelines on osteoporosis. Beirut, Commodore Hotel, May 2004.
