 | tai chi - I love tai chi. I learnt it when I was studying
in Australia [1996-98]. It stems from the Chinese martial arts. it is
a discipline, a training method that allows you to discover your true
physical and and non-physical potential, integrating the mind, body
and spirit. Thus it is one way to improve physical and mental
well-being. I enjoy doing it with a group but often practice Tai Chi
alone with soft music especially for it. |
 | music - I'm a big fan of folk music as well as Fairuz. I
enjoy golden oldies, such as the Carpenters, Peter, Paul and Mary, the
Beetles, some of Frank Sinatra's and Ray Charles' music as well as
Mozart's and Beethoven's symphonies. |
 | Arabic literature - Jahiliyyah, Umawiyyah and
Abbasiah Literature attracted me to it ever since I first learnt it in
high school. One can learn so much about the social and physical
environments of those times by looking through the poems and their
styles. I particularly enjoy reading and reciting Ibn el Roumi and Al
Mutanabbi. |
 | drawing - I've recently taken drawing lessons. I enjoy
drawing old Lebanese stone houses which are abundant in the area I
live in. A drawing I am proud of is one of our home in Bterram. It is
still in pencil, but I love it. I hope one day to become good at
watercolors. |
