Period from October 1984 to June 1993:
- Upgraded living conditions of displaced families with environmental and health education activities at their displacement centers in Kessrouan and Maten.
- Participated in relief distributions during the war.
- Conducted a nutrition survey for displaced children to assess nutritional status in Rouessat, Jdeideh.
- Reviewed, evaluated school health packages and implemented the program in Save the Children program areas.
- Initiated a health education training project for school teachers in one elementary school as a pilot project in Mhamra, Akkar.
- Managed operations of the three SC rural health centers in Akkar, Beqaa and Jbeil.
- Planned and supervised community household surveys in SC program areas
- Facilitated maternal health education sessions for community women in the three above mentioned areas.
- Initiated the first program for tetanus toxoid immunization for women in Bebnine, Akkar.
- Managed a Training of Trainers workshop in maternal and child health care for volunteer community workers in Bebnine.
- Organized logistics for Extended Program for Immunisation in the three SC program areas jointly with UNICEF and the Ministry of Health.
- Initiated literacy classes for women in one SC program area and linked it with the health education program for community women in Akkar.
- Co-facilitated a Participatory Rapid Appraisal (PRA) training workshop for NGOs and co-managed a practical implementation in Fnaidik, Akkar.
1. Save the Children, Egypt [December 1992 through February 1993]:
- Led a team of development professionals in a Participatory Rapid Appraisal in Assiut Governorate and another PRA with the staff of Minya field office in 5 hamlets in Upper Egypt. The resulting document was used by Save the Children in consequent community health proposals.
- Managed the Minya Field Office in Upper Egypt and facilitated a USAID Water and Sanitation for Health (WASH) workshop for the staff of the Minya Office.
2. Young Men’s Christian Association, Lebanon [January through June, 1994]:
- Prepared a proposal for the Primary Health Care Training Module and facilitated six workshops for health center staff and volunteer community members in maternal and child health promotion in Akkar, Tripoli and Beqa.
3. Pontifical Mission, Lebanon [February, 1995]:
- Evaluated the Lebanon Relief and Rehabilitation Program for displaced families and a number of war affected areas.

Led an integrated mosquito control program [health education session, worked with volunteers to develop an informational brochure and supervised pesticide spraying.
