Multimedia Lab
The ACC Multimedia Lab is located in
Van Dyke, Annex. It is
used for helping faculty members in recording, editing,
and converting
audio and video material into digital format.

and Resources |

ACC Multimedia Lab offers the
following services for AUB faculty:
-
Audio and video recording of lectures,
presentations, and other educational activities for
online or classroom usage.
-
Editing and conversion of audio and video material
from analog into digital format for online or
classroom usage.

Creation of good quality magnified pictures or short
videos using a digital microscope.
-
Scanning of images and texts in magazines, books, or
newspapers, into pictures or editable documents
using OCR (Optical Character Recognition).
-
Conversion of various file formats into PDF or HTML
formats for online usage.
Kindly note:
All
work done by the ACC Multimedia Lab will abide by
copyright regulations.
All Multimedia support must be requested at least 48
hours in advance.

activities using Audacity.
Audacity is an excellent FREE sound editor,
which offers all features in a simple
user-oriented environment. It runs on PC, Mac,
and Linux, and supports WAV, AIFF, OGG and MP3
files. It includes a very clear tutorial too. |

Images and short videos capturing through
a Digital Microscope
capable of enlarging pictures 10, 60, or 200 times.
It connects to a computer via a USB port and
allows manipulation and editing of the material
captured.

Friday, from 8:00 am to 1 noon, and from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.
