The Academic Computing Center offers a variety of online resources to enrich the teaching and learning environments at the American University of Beirut.   These resources may be useful for faculty members, for students, and for staff. 

• Tutorials - a wide range of online tutorials on computer applications useful for teaching and research.
   

• Teaching Material - great teaching and learning resources organized by topic.  Material includes text, audio, video, and freeware. 
   

• Multimedia Applications - Audio and video can be integrated into the curriculum in a variety of ways, depending on the discipline, as well as the teaching and learning goals.
   

• Technology in Education - papers on the role of the Web in education, cheating, and plagiarism on the Web. Also, institutions which have partnership with AUB.
   

• eBooks, eJournals, & eCollections - thousands of books right on your personal computer, online journals and digital collections.
   

• Internet & the WWW - history and information on effective searches and downloading of texts and images.
   

• Web Page Design - what to do and what not to do in your Web pages.
   

• Copyright on the Internet - information on copyright, relevant links and a free course on copyright.
   

• Citing Internet Sources - how to cite Internet sources in appropriate ways (APA, MLA, and others).
   

• Electronic Plagiarism - current issues on electronic plagiarism, resources for faculty and students on plagiarism causes and sources, tools for identification, and strategies for prevention.
   

• Glossaries - links to online dictionaries, thesauri, and glossaries of Internet terms.
   

• Computing Updates - information on overnight FTP, file sharing, vacation auto response, and other things you might find useful. 
   

• Software - a variety of computer programs available through remote access on AUB campus and freeware downloading from the Internet.
   

• Web Accessibility - Making WebPages accessible by all the people independent of their disability.
   

• Save Office Documents as Web page - Convert Word, Excel and PowerPoint files to web pages.
   

• Computer Ergonomics - A list of tips and suggestions that will make your working space more comfortable and safe.
