Groups

The Moodle Groups feature allows an instructor with editing privileges to assign instructors without editing rights and students to a group within a course. Participants in a course can belong to more than one group. Activities can be set for the whole class as one single group or in group mode as per the instructor's decision.

RSS

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) allows certain web browsers and specialized programs (called feed readers) to automatically check for updates to a page. In Moodle, the RSS feeds block enables RSS feeds from external websites to be displayed within Moodle. One or more RSS feeds can be added to a course by selecting them from an existing list.

Metacourses

A metacourse automatically enrolls participants from other "child" courses. Metacourses take their enrollments from other courses. This feature can populate many courses from one enrollment or one course from many enrollments.

Scorms

SCORM
stands for Sharable Content Object Reference Model. A SCORM is a package of web pages, graphics, Flash simulations, quizzes and anything else that can be viewed on the Internet and can help you in your course. In this tutorial we are going to see how to use a SCORM content package inside Moodle and make it part of your course.

JME (Java Molecule Editor) molecule design question
A new question type added to Moodle at AUB

The JME molecule design questions can be used to design molecular structures, through a JME editor. These questions can be created from within the Quiz activity in Moodle or the Questions databank (in the Administration block), and used in all sorts of quizzes: self-test, practice quiz, mid-terms/finals, etc.
