	Welcome to FAFS The Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences (FAFS) was established in 1952 on AUB's main campus in Beirut and was modeled on the US land-grant college system. FAFS however, broke away from the land-grant model by diversifying its academic portfolio to respond to the needs of rural and urban societies through the introduction of new academic programs with diverse disciplines of agribusiness, agriculture, food science and management, landscape design and ecosystem management, nutrition and dietetics, and veterinary sciences. The culture of FAFS has also evolved; we are no longer a school that only teaches how to grow food; instead, we have positioned ourselves at the intersection of nature and human wellbeing across Lebanon and the Middle East.

FAFS offers 7 undergraduate programs in agribusiness, agriculture, food science and management, landscape design and ecosystem management, nutrition and dietetics (B.S. and C.P.), and veterinary sciences. Scroll over the images for more details.

BS in Agribusiness.

Course topics include agriculture, business, marketing, accounting, entrepreneurship, and economics.

BS in Agriculture and a Diploma of Ingenieur Agricole.

Course topics include agronomy, soils, irrigation, machinery, animal nutrition, animal physiology, agricultural management and production.

BS in Food Science and Management.

Course topics include food chemistry, food analysis, food microbiology, food processing, food quality and food service management, and food engineering.

BS in Landscape Design and Ecosystem Management and a Diploma of Ingenieur Agricole.

Course topics include landscape design, horticulture, ecological landscape, environment and sustainable development.

BS or CP in Nutrition and Dietetics.

Course topics include human nutrition, therapeutic nutrition, and community nutrition. Graduates may qualify as professional dieticians upon the completion of the 11 months Dietetics Internship program at AUBMC or at other qualified and approved hospitals.

BS in Veterinary Science.

Course topics include veterinary immunology, anatomy, pathology, clinical diagnostics, and veterinary medicine.
