CASAR offers GA for AUB students
If you are an AUB graduate student working on a thesis topic related to American Studies, then you are eligible to apply for CASAR's GA for Spring 2010. Please follow the details on our website and apply before Nov. 15, 2009. CASAR GAThe Center for American Studies and Research (CASAR), in accordance with its mission to increase knowledge of the United States in the Middle East, is accepting applications for Graduate Assistant support for AUB graduate students with an interest in American studies, regardless of department. Students who intend to conduct thesis research that deals with the U.S. (even if comparatively), and particularly those who take an interdisciplinary approach, are encouraged to apply. Accordingly, awards will normally be given to students in the second year of their programs who have identified a thesis topic. The award will cover tuition for two courses each semester and the standard GA stipend. Interested students should send an Application for Graduate Assistantship, a graduate transcript, and an outline of proposed research (no more than three pages) to the CASAR office, 453 College Hall or to casar@aub.edu.lb. The deadline for applicants for the Spring Semester 2010 is November 15, 2009.
