AUB Calendar 2007: Presidents Lead the Way: from Bliss to Waterbury
On the occasion of the University's 140th anniversary, the AUB Calendar 2007 was issued with the title and theme Presidents Lead the Way: from Bliss to Waterbury. The calendar provides brief biographies of the fourteen presidents and depicts twelve of them in action. A brief history of the traditional presidential residence, Marquand House, can be found at the end of the calendar. [AUB presidents' photo gallery]

The Moore Collection Book Celebrates AUB's 140th Anniversary :
The Moore Collection Book: the Franklin T. Moore photographs (1892-1902) is now issued by AUB Press and commemorates AUB's 140th anniversary.
The book can be purchased at the AUB Press, Diana Tamari Sabbagh Bldg, room 408.

Founders' Day Ceremony - The Speaker will be Dr. Marwan Muasher . His talk will be entitled "Is There Hope For The Arab Center? " This is the celebration of the 140th anniversary of the founding of the University on December 3, 1866. The program will include the announcement of the winner of the Founders' Day Student Essay Contest. The theme of the contest this year is AUB IN NATIONAL AND REGIONAL CRISES: WHAT IS ITS ROLE?

Monday , December 4, 4 to 6 pm- west Hall :
The Moore Collection photo exhibition. An exhibition of the whole Franklin T. Moore Photographic Collection, spanning 1892-1902. The Moore Collection book - published by AUB Press to mark AUB's 140th year, will be launched at the same time. The exhibition will run from December 5 to December 15, 2006.

Highlights from their lives and works are on view. The recipients for 2006 are Nasser Al-Kharafi, Mohammad Yunus, Robert Fisk, Zaha Hadid and Said Khoury.

Monday 5, 2005 - 12:00 noon, Assembly Hall Founders' Day Ceremony with speaker: H.E. Najib Mikati. The program includes the announcement of the winner of the Founders' Day Student Essay Contest. The theme of the contest this year is "AUB and Democracy."

Thursday 15 and Friday 16, 8:00 pm - Assembly Hall Christmas Concert 2005, by the AUB Choir and Choral Society, to benefit the International Red Cross for earthquake relief. Featuring Music of Thomas Tallis (b. 1505) and Daniel Pinkham's Christmas Cantata (1957). With traditional carols and the lighting of the campus Christmas tree. Paul Meers, Director; Kamila Keshishian, organ and piano Brass ensemble from the Lebanese National Orchestra.
