The
BA
program in Public Administration seeks to develop the
knowledge and competence of students in administration and
policy, with concentration on organization theory, policy
analysis and program evaluation, comparative public
administration, public budgeting, human resource management,
and e-government. The program, which strives to teach skills
in critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and
information technology, offers both majors and minors in
public administration.
The MA program in Public Administration offers advanced
study and research in all areas of public administration.
The Masters Program in Public Administration (MAPA), while
maintaining continuity with the undergraduate curriculum,
provides a more specialized study in three sub-disciplines:
(1) Human Resources; (2) Administration; and (3) Fiscal
Resources. The MAPA program prepares students for careers as
policy analysts and managers in government agencies,
international firms, non-profit organizations, foundations,
and university institutions. The MAPA curriculum also
provides specialized course work for students planning to
pursue advanced study in public administration or public
policy.
