Maroun Kisirwani
Short Biography
Maroun Kisirwani is an
associate professor of public administration and currently Dean of Student
Affairs. He received his Ph.D. From Indiana University in 1972, taught for one
year at Mankato State University before joining AUB in 1973 as assistant
professor in the Political Studies and Public Administration Department (PSPA).
Since he joined AUB, he served as chairperson of the PSPA Department ,
consultant to the Lebanese Government on Administrative Reform, advisor to the
Minister of Foreign Affairs (1982-1984), and member of the UNESCO Lebanese
National Committee. He conducted several civil servants training programs in
Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and was a member of a Ford Foundation team for
re-organization of the Saudi Arabia administration. Dr.Kisirwani’s research
interest is administrative reform and development, bureaucratic corruption, and
civil service accountability.
