Latif Abul-Husn
Short Biography
Dr. Abul-Husn obtained his
Ph.D. in Political Science from the Australian National University in
Canberra-Australia in 1993. His area of interest is domestically based
international conflict. He published in 1998 a book on the Lebanese conflict
(Publisher: Lynne Reinner) and several articles in conflict studies. His latest
publication is a chapter in an IPA-UNU book on the Iraqi crisis and world order.
He taught a graduate alternate years course in international
conflict and conflict resolution at the Lebanese American University, Byblos
campus. Abul-husn is a retired Lebanese career diplomat who served in West
Africa, Former Yugoslavia, Sweden, Australia and New Zealand and at the UN in New
York. Dr. Abul-husn joined the PSPA Department at AUB as a part-time lecturer in
2000.
