Visiting Students


Students from outside Lebanon are welcome to to spend a semester or a year studying at AUB. In order to do so, they should apply for the status of "Visiting Student" or "Special Student Not Working for a Degree. Once accepted, students may register for courses in any subject of their interest (Political Studies, Arabic, History, Philosophy, etc.)

A Special Student Not Working for a Degree

 

• may normally take up to 16 credits per semester;


• must have at least high school diploma, school leaving certificate, government secondary school certificate or higher level of education;


• credits taken at AUB may be considered towards AUB degrees if the student reapplies for admission as a regular student, and is accepted based on the admission criteria

 

 

A Visiting Student

 

• may normally take up to 16 credits per regular semester; graduate students may take up to 12 credits per regular semester;
 

• must have completed the equivalent of the
sophomore year in good academic standing;
 

• credits taken may be transferable to an AUB degree program if student petitions for regular student status; may not be applicable to graduate students
