AUB Cardiologist to Receive State of Kuwait Award

The World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office of the Eastern Mediterranean recently announced in Cairo that Professor Samir Alam, head of cardiology in the Department of Internal Medicine at the AUB Faculty of Medicine, will be awarded the 2008 State of Kuwait Award for Fighting Cancer, Coronary Artery Disease, and Diabetes.

Congratulations to Dr. Alam on the well-deserved award, which also reflects the collective efforts of the entire cardiology division of the Department of Internal Medicine.
