New Faculty Undergo Orientation

Eight new faculty members joining AUB in spring 2008 underwent a new faculty orientation program on February 7. Coordinated by Rima Iskandarani, instructor in the Department of English, the orientation began with a lunch with Associate Provost Waddah Nasr at the Faculty Lounge. It was followed by a training session on e-classrooms of the academic units at AUB by Provost Peter Heath. Director of Academic Computing Center Rosangela Silva's lecture was entitled on "The Academic Computing Center: Where You Get Support in Teaching with Technology." Additional issues introduced included academic policies, grading scales and systems, and web resources. An overview of the University Health Services was provided by Dr. Ghassan Hamadeh, Director of University Health Services.
