Erratum
The article entitled "Fifth Faculty Seminar Examines Use of Computers
in Teaching," published in AUBulletin Today July-August 2007 Vol.
8 No. 8 gave some inaccurate information.
The article erroneously states that "the University now has 1,668
computers," while in fact it is ACC that has offered, since 2001,
1,668 computer training sessions.
The result of the survey conducted revealed that 88 percent of AUB students
found the system [Moodle] motivating rather than 80 percent.
The presentations related to on-line teaching were given by Professor
Georges Fadel of Clemson University in the United States, Professor David
Standen from the AUB Olayan School of Business and via web conferencing,
not video conferencing, by Professor Kevin Johnson.
Finally Moodle is not formerly known as WebCT. The two are different systems:
WebCT was used earlier.
